SUMMARY:VISTA: enabling technology adoption on vineyards
DESCRIPTION:Exploring the VISTA project and how its outputs support adopting technology and automation in vineyards across the UK and Internationally \n\n\n\n\nTechnology adoption in vineyards is challenged by the lack of consistent\, high-quality infrastructure data\, meaning technologies like robotics\, drones and digital tools often require repeated\, costly mapping before they can be used effectively. This can therefore make growers and service providers hesitant to adopt and scale new digital solutions. \nVISTA aims to tackle these challenges\, by creating a standardised\, centralised source of accurate vineyard infrastructure data\, meaning consistent maps can be accessed without the need to repeat costly surveys or mapping work for every vineyard. \nBy enabling this shared foundation and improving interoperability between systems\, VISTA reduces duplication\, lowers the cost and time required to deploy technology on vineyards\, and gives both growers and service providers greater confidence in adopting and scaling digital solutions\, supporting increased automation and smarter decision-making in the industry. \nThis event is an opportunity to understand how VISTA could support your own operations\, reduce costs\, and enable easier adoption of technology on vineyards. \nThe day will explore what VISTA is\, how to work with the mapping protocol\, and will include a live demonstration of the technology in a vineyard setting. You’ll hear from the developers of VISTA\, as well as from vineyards and service providers who are using the platform. The day will end with an exploration of where the technology could go next\, and how VISTA adoption could be encouraged\, reducing barriers for entry for service providers and increasing the resilience and efficiency of the sector as a whole. \n\n  \n\n\n\nKey details:\n\nHow VISTA could reduce onboarding costs for vineyard service providers\nHow VISTA could increase tech adoption and resilience for vineyard owners\nExploration of real-world examples of the technology and its use on a vineyard\nDiscussions to shape a high-potential industry tool\n\nRegister today
