Academic Science & Research

Collaborating with the UK academic, science and research community forms the cornerstone of our work.

We do this through research and development of projects, leveraging key expertise and knowledge to enable innovation and commercial research, together with connecting and bringing together groups interested in advancing our knowledge and understanding in agri-tech.

People with problems need people with ideas

Connecting people with problems to problem solvers across the agri-food sector is a key role for us. We help academics and researchers identify potential partnership opportunities or work with them to convene and facilitate workshops, events and other forums to interrogate challenges and discuss new ideas.

Joining the dots, providing the support, finding the funding

We work on a wide portfolio of publicly funded collaborative R&D projects, the majority of which involves working with academic science and research. Here we can support academics and researchers throughout the process from exploring the viability of project ideas, identify relevant funding calls and investment, to connecting them with industry partners who are looking to develop new knowledge, products or services.

Investing in world-leading facilities and expertise

Alongside our expert team and wider network, we also operate a range of our own research and development facilities and capabilities across the UK. Our facilities are supported by key academic institutions who help us operate and develop projects, alongside supporting us to invest and build world-leading facilities for use by businesses, the research community and other agri-food stakeholder groups.

We are dedicated to building and connecting a world-class hub of agri-tech experts and R&D capabilities to tackle the issues that not one part of the sector can address alone,. Learn more about our network.
