The Cattle Information Service (CIS} is a leading provider of milk recording and health testing services for dairy farmers in Great Britain. The portfolio of services helps dairy farmers, nutritionists and vets to measure and manage dairy herds by not only looking at the quality of milk produced but by also assessing the health and fertility of each individual animal and the herd as a whole. Milk samples collected on farm provide a wealth of information and data to assist in making informed decisions about current and 1uture herd performance. Testing and analysis is performed at the privately-owned CIS laboratory in Telford, Shropshire. This testing facility, under its robust Quality Management System, is UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ICAR approved, operating 7 days a week.
