Dr Peter Quinn was chairman of CHAP and led the creation of the UK Agri-Tech Centre by merging CHAP, CIEL and Agri-EPI Centre.
He has extensive experience in leadership roles, spanning CHAIR, CEO, MD and NXD positions, across multiple industries, operating in domestic & international markets. Specialising in CPG Food Business, agri-food, agri-tech and Bio-Tech Innovation.
Peter is Chair of Branston Potato Ltd the UK’s largest integrated potato producer and prepared food business. In addition, Peter chairs multiple commercial innovation businesses in agri-tech & agri-food.
He is passionate about building business that commercialise innovation in science & technology. He is expert in delivering profitable business transformations, maximising value creation and delivering positive commercial outcomes for investors and stakeholders.
Peter has served on the board of several charitable ESG organisations, focusing on creating positive societal impact by creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people through education, personal development and employment.
His academic background with a BSc & PhD in Applied & Medical Microbiology, together with an MBA, and post graduate qualification in Industrial Fermentation, complements his practical experience in industry.
