Aeropod is the first-of-its-kind, nature-activated biodegradable capsule for autonomously aerating and biologically regenerating global soils. It was first developed and validated at Imperial College London. Aeropod is planted as a seed and activates when soil is compacted or waterlogged. As an alternative to conventional chemically and physically intensive agriculture, while cutting costs tied to labour, diesel, machinery and input use.
Precise aeration also improves yields by up to 20%. This reduces agricultural emissions significantly, helps farmers rebuild their soils while protecting immediate yields, viably transitioning into regenerative farming while also protecting their crops from the current perils of climate change. Their vision is to lead the regeneration of humanity’s most important resource- soil, while protecting farmers, their interests and bottom lines.
