Backed by the UK Agri-Tech Centre and delivered in partnership with the Carbon Trust, FASTA provides expert-led support to scale and commercialise tested solutions.

The challenge: Why agriculture needs scalable MRV innovation

Accelerating the pathway to Net Zero in UK agriculture requires robust, scalable solutions to baseline, monitor and verify greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals across diverse farming systems.

Despite progress, critical barriers remain:

  • Limited access to accurate, interoperable MRV tools
  • Difficulty verifying sustainability claims and ensuring transparency
  • Barriers to unlocking sustainable finance

FASTA is designed to break down these barriers and empower innovators to scale solutions that transform UK agriculture.

Expert support to accelerate your innovation

Innovators will be able to access a programme that provides bespoke support to bring tested solutions closer to market:

  • Tailored mentorship and technical support
  • Access to UK Agri-Tech Centre research capabilities for further validation
  • Direct engagement with key industry stakeholders and customers
  • Expert-led masterclasses and investor readiness sessions
  • Bespoke pitch support
  • A demo day to showcase your innovation to corporates and investors
  • Feedback and recommendations from experts across industry, regulators and advisory bodies

Programme fit: Is your MRV solution ready to scale?

FASTA seeks disruptive, scalable MRV technologies that transform how emissions and sustainability performance are measured and verified across the UK food and agriculture sector.

Your solution should help enable transparent, data-led decarbonisation and empower producers to participate in low-carbon supply chains.

Focus of the programme:
  • Advanced sensors (soil health, remote sensing, environmental monitoring)
  • AI-driven analytics and decision-support tools
  • Data aggregation and supply chain traceability platforms
To participate, your solution must:
  • Be tested and ready for commercial deployment and scale (TRL 5–9)
  • Integrate advanced sensors or AI/data-driven tools
  • Ensure data accuracy, interoperability and traceability
  • Demonstrate best practice in engaging and supporting producers
