Silsoe Spray Application Unit (SSAU) is an internationally recognised facility for research, development, and contract testing, relating to the characterisation of sprays and spray behaviour, with particular expertise in the application of agricultural pesticides. The unit comprises of a team of highly experienced specialists in spray generation, transport, and deposition. This includes conducting field experiments, laboratory work, and the use of a specialised wet and dry wind tunnel for drift trials and droplet sizing, including those requiring the use of pesticides and adjuvants. We are UKAS accredited to generate data for LERAP star rating assessments and hold ISO 17025 accreditation.
