Jonathan Lea

Jonathan Lea brings extensive financial leadership and governance experience to the UK Agri-Tech Centre, supporting its mission to help agri-tech businesses achieve sustainable commercial success and long-term impact.

Jonathan has held senior finance roles across FTSE 250, private equity-backed and not-for-profit organisations and now serves as a Non-Executive Director and trustee for several charities. As Chair of the UK Agri-Tech Centre’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, he helps ensure the strong financial governance and strategic oversight needed to support innovation, growth and industry collaboration.

His interest in sustainable food systems began while serving as Chief Financial Officer at the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP), where he gained valuable insight into the role of innovation in improving resource efficiency and environmental sustainability.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Jonathan combines commercial expertise with a commitment to responsible governance, helping the UK Agri-Tech Centre create the foundations for businesses to prove technologies, build commercial success and scale real-world impact.
