Netherlands Delegation visit to the Midlands Hub

The UK Agri-Tech Centre is pleased to host an inward delegation from the Netherlands, organised by the Department for Business and Trade at the British Embassy in The Hague.

This delegation will compromise of around 10-15 companies, organisations and government representatives. The mission will showcase the opportunity for Dutch companies in the agri-tech sphere to grow their business by investing or increasing their investment in the UK, as well as highlighting the very latest UK technological innovations and developments addressing challenges in the sector.

Key focus areas include:

  • Precision Agriculture: Exploring the use of technology such as GPS, sensors, and drones to optimize farming practices and increase productivity.
  • Sustainability & Resilience: Discussing practices to reduce environmental impact and ensure the long-term viability of agriculture.
  • Robotics and Automation: Examining the role of robotics and automation in streamlining tasks like planting, harvesting, monitoring crops, and supporting animal wellbeing.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Utilising AI to analyse data, predict outcomes, and improve decision-making in agriculture & horticulture.

We will host the delegation on Wednesday, 18 September 2024 at the UK Agri-Tech Centre Midlands Agri-Tech Innovation Hub.
