The key function of this role is to support the UK Agri-Tech Centre partner organisation (CABI) at its Microbiological and Molecular laboratories in Egham. The successful applicant will join a team of specialists and support staff involved in the identification, testing, characterisation and preservation of microorganisms. Specific responsibilities will evolve as the research outcomes are evaluated and will have the opportunity to shape this as a critical member of the team.

The HR Director will lead the integration of new people practices post-transfer, support employee transitions, and develop resourcing and succession plans for year one and beyond. This pivotal role will drive transformative HR strategies, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a culture of innovation. Other key responsibilities include designing pay, rewards, and benefits programs, including a UK Agri-Tech Centre specific bonus structure, and supporting annual pay reviews.

The events officer will engage closely with UK Agri-Tech Centre staff, partners and stakeholders as well as the wider agri-tech community to plan, coordinate and support on a range of on and offline events. The Events Officer will also work with key stakeholders within the business to ensure events are successful, align with the marketing strategy and therefore attract the correct target audience and generate business leads.
