Agri-tech Trade Mission to Antalya, Türkiye

VIV Asia 2025, Thailand
Event date: 12 – 14 March 2025
VIV Asia is a top global trade show for the livestock industry, held at Bangkok’s IMPACT Centre. The 2023 event saw 47,000 visitors and 1,186 exhibitors from over 110 countries.
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and UKTAG invite companies to express interest in exhibiting on the UK pavilion, strategically placed for optimal footfall and networking.
Exhibitors can benefit from meetings with DBT officials, international decision makers and buyers, access to the show’s extensive conference programme, branded podium and advertising opportunities, transport to and from exhibition centre, and more.

International funding opportunities
The Agribusiness Challenge Fund
Deadline: 22 November
The challenge is open to SME applications from any country as long as the projects meet the eligibility criteria and are being implemented in at least one of the 20 focus countries the Fund is targeting.
Support from the Fund includes grants ranging from US$ 500,000 to US$ 2,500,000, disbursed over a three-year period, based on the applicant’s development stage, scalability, and business model, in accordance with agreed periodic milestone targets. The funding structure will be determined on a case-by-case basis after evaluating proposals and organizations. Additional support to successful applicants will include tailored technical assistance in alignment with the Fund objectives over the three-year period.
OpenAgri Open Call
Deadline: 2 December
OpenAgri Open Call aims to attract small consortia of two entities and should be formed by an Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADSs) provider (SME, university, research institute, non-profit organization) and an end-user (a farm, farm structure, farm cooperative or other agrifood production organisation or company representing farms). Their goal is to collaborate and co-create new Open Source (OS) ADSs building on existing mature cloud solutions, demonstrating both Edge and Cloud/mixed versions of the ADSs, and piloting them in areas with low connectivity to compare the results and see if the performance of the new solution is adequate.
UK – Germany Bilateral: Collaborative R&D Round 4
Deadline: 6 December
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £2 million to enhance UK and German collaborations in emerging fields of technology. You must collaborate with at least one German SME applying under the equivalent German ZIM programme.
Canada-UK Collaborative R&D
Deadline: 16 April
The aim of this competition is to stimulate the development and implementation of innovative technologies across a range of sectors and technology areas.
This call for proposals is open to organisations from Canada and the UK who wish to form project consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products processes, or technology based services in the area of life sciences, digital and emerging, and sustainability and net zero technologies.
