The UK Agri-Tech Centre has today announced the selection of two UK agri-tech businesses, Breedr and Biotangents, to take part in the 2026 Global Growth Accelerator (GGA) Australasia programme. This initiative will support both companies to validate their technologies on farms in New Zealand while building pathways to international growth.
The programme is designed to help high-potential agri-tech businesses move beyond innovation and into real-world adoption. By connecting them with international markets, commercial partners and working farming systems, the GGA enables technologies to be tested, proven and scaled.

GGA helps high-potential UK agri-tech businesses move beyond innovation into real-world adoption by connecting them with international markets, commercial partners and farming systems where their technologies can be tested, proven and scaled.
Delivered in partnership with Agnition Ventures, the corporate investment and innovation arm of the Ravensdown farmer co-operative, and AgriTech New Zealand, the GGA Australasia programme is focused on enabling UK agri-tech businesses to expand internationally.
Through the programme, participating companies can:
- Better understand international market needs
- Build trusted in-country relationships
- Co-create pilot projects with local partners
By embedding businesses directly into local markets, the programme helps reduce barriers to adoption, generate market evidence and unlock new commercial opportunities for UK innovation.

The UK Agri-Tech Centre team recently promoted the GGA Australasia programme at Fieldays, New Zealand’s largest agricultural event. This included engagement with farmers, supply chain stakeholders and industry representatives. The team will return in July alongside Breedr and Biotangents to begin pilot deployments, work with local partners and demonstrate the technologies directly within commercial farming environments.
Why New Zealand is a key proving ground
As part of the programme, Breedr and Biotangents will deploy their solutions in the New Zealand market, targeting two major priorities for global livestock and dairy production:
- Improving productivity through betta data
- Supporting animal health through rapid, targeted diagnostics

Breedr: Driving productivity through data
Breedr’s platform focuses on precision livestock management, helping farmers and supply chains track and optimise performance across millions of animals globally.
